Jumpstart Midland is proud to launch MISD Board Watch — a new parent-led, grassroots initiative created to help families stay informed about the decisions shaping our schools. Through Board Watch, parents will review upcoming MISD school board meeting agendas, analyze data and presentations, and share plain-language summaries with the broader community. Our goal is to make it easier for Midland families to understand what’s being discussed, how decisions are being made, and what it all means for student outcomes across the district.

During MISD Board meetings, Jumpstart parents will be present to offer public comment aligned with our advocacy priorities and to serve as the eyes and ears of the community by tracking key discussions and votes. Below, you’ll find our pre-meeting analysis of select agenda items and our organizational positions for each meeting. We look forward to keeping parents informed and engaged as we work together to bring greater transparency, accountability, and student-centered decision-making to MISD.
